Our trip to Griffith was so enjoyable I would love to go back. Our hosts, Dot and Dom Guglielminowelcomed us into their big home and entertained all the relatives,so that we could all be together.A wonderful assortment of food was presented before us. The Italians know how to entertain without fuss or fanfare, and yet the food was very stylish.
On our first night there we were treated to vegetarian lasagne and a delicious light pasta,made with spaghetti. It had spinach, and asparagus tossed through it with lemon zest and finishedoff with cheese. There was also a prawn pasta with a chilli tomato based sauce. Everyone served themselves a little of each and then we were told this was ENTREÉ! The main meal was Calamari grilled on the bar be que and Calamari in breadcrumbs. Both were tender and tasty.Dessert was a white chocolate and raspberry baked ricotta cheese cake. What a meal. Lucky us.
