Here is the recipe from today’s segment on 6.12 am. I do hope you enjoy the mug of crumble. I was really happy with the way in turned out.


1 Granny Smith Apple (cored and peeled)

120 grams of rhubarb washed and cut into small pieces

1/2 cup of quick oats

2 tablespoons of brown sugar

2 tablespoons of flour

75 grams of butter

Dollop cream or ice cream for serving



Mix the oats, brown sugar, flour and butter into a bowl and microwave for 30 secs or until butter is melted.

Mix the melted butter thoroughly into the warmed mixture.

Cut the apple into slices (3 cm thick) so the hole from the core is in the middle.

Put a slice of apple in the bottom of the mug.

Place half of the rhubarb on top of the apple, and coat with a layer of the heated oat mix.

Repeat with another layer of apple, rhubarb and oat mix and pat down.

Cover with plastic wrap, place in the microwave for 1 min 40 secs in an 1100 watt microwave.
